After two months of preliminary preparation, the second phase turbine overhaul project of Olorunsogo power station officially kicked off on April 3, 2025.

Moving is precise. The company's engineering team had already made all necessary preparations before entering the site. In the early stage, through on-site exploration, vibration monitoring, thermal performance testing, and various historical data of the unit, it was analyzed and identified that there were various problems such as the detachment of multi-stage partition belt seal teeth, rolling blades, severe wear and corrosion of rotors and bearings. At the same time, the team evaluated the operation time of the unit and the current equipment condition, and finally determined the critical path for maintenance, and formulated a detailed maintenance plan. This major overhaul covers comprehensive inspection and maintenance of multiple components such as high and low pressure cylinder bodies, partitions, retaining rings, and generators. This also laid a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of the steam turbine overhaul, and the owner highly praised the team's rich technical experience and rigorous work attitude.

Excellence is achieved through action. On April 3, 2024, the engineering team officially entered the site and immediately entered the state. Immediately coordinate with the owner team, effectively utilize every minute, conduct relevant training, explore the on-site environment and details, orderly implement division of labor tasks, allocate professional tools and spare parts, and conduct multiple rounds of disclosure on safety regulations and technical plans to ensure that responsibilities are assigned to individuals and standards are in place at every stage. The aim is to comprehensively inspect equipment status, eliminate potential hazards, and ensure long-term safe and stable operation of the unit.

At present, the on-site team has completed the inventory of machine spare parts, disassembly of the unit, cleaning of partitions and other tasks ahead of schedule, and the follow-up work is also being carried out in an orderly manner. Carrying heavy responsibilities with ease, having a blueprint in mind and sharp hands, is the perfect embodiment of the team's ability in the project department.
